SHAVING CREAM ALTERNATIVES THAT WILL HELP YOU PREVENT RAZOR BURN

Hi, babes! Emma here, and I don't know about you but the sweet song of warmer days is definitely calling my name, which in turn means I need to shave my leggies if I'm to wear that cute dress I bought ages ago and haven't worn yet. But... I ran out of shaving cream.

If you're in a similar position and are thinking of just shaving without any lubrication, fear not, because I have some alternatives for you when planning ahead fails, or just life happens. Move the razor from your bare leg, it's time for the top five shaving cream alternatives.

So, when the above mentioned happens to you, what are these substitutes? Chances are, you've got some fairly useful stuff laying around your house. Let's see if I'm right, shall we?

Coconut Oil

It goes without saying that coconut oil has many skincare advantages, but it also functions well as a substitute for shaving cream. Because of its additional moisture, this fatty acid-rich oil makes an excellent alternative to shaving cream by shielding the skin's surface from the pulling forces that razors often produce. But beware: coconut oil is heavy and one of the more comedogenic oils, so if you have acne-prone skin you might want to avoid using it.

Aloe Vera Gel

Remember that nasty sunburn you had a while ago and the only thing that helped you cool it off was aloe vera gel? Still got a tub of it in your bathroom? Yeah, I thought so. From treating breakouts to healing sunburns, aloe vera gel has been formulated for many kinds of skincare requirements. Even as a shaving gel, it performs miracles. This calming gel will make the razor slide more easily across the skin.

Body Lotion
Because of their moisturising qualities and creamy texture, body lotions are a fantastic alternative to shaving cream. As you shave, a body lotion will hydrate and soften hair. Before shaving, apply the lotion to your skin and it will make it easier for the razor to move smoothly across your body.

Body Oil
If you're as fascinated with skincare as I am, your bathroom probably has one or maybe more bottles of body oil. Applying body oil to your legs will help to soften the hairs as you shave. Additionally, it will guarantee that your skin is velvety smooth after shaving.

Body Wash
When you've used every last drop of your shaving cream, simply grab your body wash while you're in the shower. Body washes can replace shaving cream since they produce a beautiful lather on your skin and hydrate it while you shave.

So there you go babes, my shaving cream alternatives that will have you asking "shaving cream who?". You can put the razor back near your leg now, provided you have a shaving cream alternative handy.

Bye for now!

Love,
Emma
